BlueSAO®, a leading Chinese manufacturer of small animal orthopedic instruments and implants, successfully conducted its inaugural training program in South Korea. In collaboration with 3D Medi Vision, a medical edutech company operating the Betterflix service, BlueSAO Korea hosted an advanced seminar on small animal orthopedic hindlimb diseases from December 15 to 16 at the VGTC in Songdo. The first day featured theoretical lectures that attracted veterinarians nationwide. Speakers included Professor Lee Hae-beom from Chungnam National University, Professor Kei Hayashi from Cornell University, Dr. Tetsuaki Koreeda, who has previously led orthopedic training in Korea, and two BlueSAO instructors from China, Niu Jinbo and Du Lang. Topics such as patellar luxation surgery, PGR, TPLO, and THR were covered extensively, followed by interactive Q&A sessions. On December 16, a hands-on workshop was conducted for 12 veterinarians, focusing on PGR and TPLO procedures through dry labs and cadaver dissections. The workshop operated with six teams, each comprising two participants per cadaver. In addition to the main instructors, the session was supported by Dr. Kim Hyun-ho of 24-Hour Ribbon Animal Medical Center, Dr. Shin Dong-min of Ilsan Animal Medical Center, and Dr. Lee Ryeo of Shine Animal Medical Center (also the CEO of BlueSAO Korea). BlueSAO organized this program to introduce its brand to Korean veterinarians and, given the positive reception, plans to offer additional training opportunities in Korea. The company also intends to gradually introduce a variety of BlueSAO products to the Korean market. Source(kr) : dailyvet
