The seminar, completed by over 6,000 participants worldwide, will feature lectures from Professor Lee Haebum, Professor Kei Hayashi, and Dr. Tetsuaki Koreeda. BlueSAO®, a leading Chinese company specializing in small animal orthopedic devices and implants, will hold an advanced seminar on small animal orthopedic hind limb diseases in collaboration with 3D MediVision Co., Ltd., a medical edutech company that operates VeterFlix. This seminar, renowned for having been completed by numerous veterinarians around the world, will be hosted in Korea for the first time. BlueSAO is a pioneer in introducing animal PRCL, PGR, DPO, and THR systems. It established China’s first veterinary orthopedic education center and has conducted approximately 200 training sessions on orthopedic surgical techniques and the use of advanced equipment, training more than 6,000 veterinarians. Korean veterinarians have previously traveled to China to attend BlueSAO's International Workshop on Total Hip Replacement (THR) for small animals. Last year, BlueSAO opened its second education center in Peru and has also provided training in several countries, including Turkey, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The 1st Advanced Seminar on Small Animal Orthopedic Hind Limb Diseases will be held over two days, from December 15 (Sunday) to December 16 (Monday). The first day will cover theoretical lessons, while the second day will feature hands-on workshops, including both dry-lab and wet-lab sessions. The seminar will be led by distinguished experts in orthopedic and joint replacement fields, including Professor Lee Haebum from Chungnam National University’s Department of Veterinary Surgery, Professor Kei Hayashi from Cornell University’s Small Animal Surgery, and Dr. Tetsuaki Koreeda, who has conducted multiple orthopedic training sessions in Korea. Additionally, the workshop will be supported by Dr. Hyunho Kim, head of surgery at 24-Hour Ribbon Animal Medical Center, Dr. Dongmin Shin, director of the Surgical Center at Ilsan Animal Medical Hospital, and Dr. Ryeo Lee, head of surgery at Shine Animal Medical Center. The seminar will take place at the VGTC, VeterFlix’s veterinary education training center in Songdo, Incheon, using BlueSAO's equipment. VGTC spans over 800 square meters and is equipped with operating rooms, practical training labs, and a conference hall. Notably, it facilitates wet-lab practice using legally approved cadavers sanctioned by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The 130-seat conference hall is outfitted with state-of-the-art technology that enables real-time broadcasting of procedures conducted in the training labs.
