Q1. Please briefly introduce 3D Medivision

Hello, I'm Kim Ki-jin, CEO of 3D Medivision Co., Ltd.
First of all, it is a great honor to introduce our company on the threshold of autumn when the refreshing autumn wind blows

Three Medical Vision Co., Ltd. is the world's first and only "medical edutech" company in Korea. I think the word EduTech may sound unfamiliar, but EduTech is a new term that combines the words Education and Technology, which can be explained as a paradigm for new industries to overcome geographical, spatial and visual limitations in the education market.

In line with these changes, 3D Medical Vision has developed a 3D medical imaging system based on its own technology and is establishing itself as a professional medical edutech company in Korea and abroad by producing contents specialized in surgical education.

In particular, the world's first 3D medical video online platform "Veterflix (www.veterflix.com)," which opened in 2019, is receiving favorable reviews for meeting the needs of clinical veterinarians and veterinary-related institutions that require efficient professional content as they can experience actual surgical field training.

Q2. What was the reason you started 3D Medivision?

It's already been 10 years. At the time of its establishment, it was a company founded by me, and a video device and soft technology holder, a surgeon, and a platform business experience holder. As it is now, surgical education at that time was an apprenticeship education method that passed hundreds of years of experience, books, and one-on-one technology in the operating room. However, if surgical training is conducted like the past apprenticeship,

>The decrease in the quality of surgical education and the decrease in the rate of increase in the number of     specialists discharged every year,
> I thought I would be exposed to the problem of falling behind the latest domestic and international
surgical trends that change every year.

Therefore, I thought that establishing a platform to effectively share the latest surgical methods and information would contribute to the development of the domestic and foreign medical market and individual medical staff by improving the professional level and efficient technology transfer. Therefore, EduTech technology has been applied to develop a system that can simultaneously record surgical cameras and four or more equipment while viewing anatomical structures from a specialist's point of view in 3D like human eyes, expanding the development of medical education quantitatively and qualitatively.

Q3. You saie 3D Medivision is a medical edutech company. Please Explain.

First of all, I have to tell you about the current status of the edutech market. EduTech is receiving attention and policy support worldwide as remote classes are introduced one after another to cope with the COVID-19 problem.

According to the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency, the global edutech market is expected to double from 183 trillion won in 2018 to 409 trillion won in 2025. The domestic government is also promoting innovation by forming the "Edutech TF for Future Education" at the 4th Industrial Revolution Committee under the direct control of the president in May 2020.

Three-MediVision is actively carrying out leading edutech projects in the field of medical education with high expertise amid changes in the domestic and international education sectors. The medical education market has problems such as regional concentration and high education costs, so edutech is very urgent and the need to solve these problems is very high.

Accordingly, we commercialized G-FLIX (general surgical 3D camera), M-FLIX (microscope surgical 3D camera), and R-FLIX (3D&2D video recording device), which are the only hardware in the domestic and foreign medical market that makes edutech executable, and developed contents for the first time in the world. And worthy of name, it is growing into a domestic and international medical edutech company.

Q4. Korea's only 3D medical video online platform called "Veterflix" in veterinary field,
       What services do you provide?

Looking at the current status of veterinary medicine schools, as social interest in animal protection welfare has increased recently, veterinary students who practiced as animals in the past are practicing education with models and stuffed dolls. In particular, in the veterinary sector, unlike humans, there is no specialist course, so the era of 10 million pets has opened, and the demand for surgery has increased significantly, but veterinarians with a lot of experience in surgery are far short. To solve this problem, Veterflix, the world's first 3D medical imaging online platform, was created.

Veterflix, which opened in September last year, currently has more than 300 different clinical and surgical contents, and you can watch realistic videos from the perspective of actual surgical performance without restrictions on location. Veterflix provides expertise such as surgical techniques for veterinarians with less experience in surgery and a better educational environment for veterinary students.

Q5. I heard that "Veterflix" has entered the U.S. beyond Korea. The story of the entry and plans to advancement overseas?

More than 30% of veterinarians have joined Veterflix in Korea within a year of its opening, and it has achieved significant results, such as being used as textbooks by veterinary schools and veterinary societies nationwide. I think the reason why we were able to get these results was that we solved the structural problems of the edutique market and the veterinary industry, as mentioned earlier.

After exploring the possibility of business in the U.S. market, which is about 11 times larger than the domestic market since last year, we plan to open Global Veterflix with Western University Veterinary School in September this year.
Separately, in Japan, the second-largest after the U.S. pet market, professional surgical videos must be paid 250,000 yen (about 2.65 million won) per CD or DVD. I think the possibility of success in the Japanese market is high as 3D Medivision's Veterflix can be accessed on average at around 110,000 won per episode of veterinary surgery images.

Q6. What is the ultimate business model of 3D Media that you think of?

At the time of its establishment, 3D Medivision was a company that focused on 3D equipment and contents specialized in humanity rather than veterinary care. However, since the business model for people who are more sensitive than numbers is for humans, the difficulty of technical completeness was very high and had to be approached from a long-term perspective. So, strategically, the technology secured in the human field became the basis for enhancing the completeness of the technology in the veterinary field.

Based on this, we will spare no effort not only in Korea but also in the world's veterinary sector until Veterflix becomes No. 1, We want to become a company that provides total medical edutech in both veterinary and causal fields by supplementing and developing the data and technical completeness that have been insufficient when conducting the veterinary business.

Q7. Lastly, can you san something to those who are interested in 3D Medivision?

Founded in December 2011, 3D MediVision will soon mark its 10th anniversary. I think the biggest driving force behind our development was the support of various officials and investors who were interested in and watched our company. And I would like to express my gratitude to the 3D Media family who were with us when we were having a hard time or having fun. With gratitude, we promise to become the world's best medical edutech company by renewing our responsibilities to the 20th and 30th anniversaries.
