3D Live Surgery at Yonsei Severance Hospital, Seoul, Korea

3D Live Surgery in Korea, prepared by Department of Neurology, Yonsei University
College of Medicine, was presented connected to a lecture hall through HD-SDI 
using RealVision3D manufactured by 3D in a hybrid operating room on 5th floor of 
Cardiac & Vascular Center, on March 20th 2012, with 100 participants.  

The scene of a spine surgery in the hybrid operating room on 5th floor,
performed by M.D. Ph. D. Yoon Do-heum, was relayed live through 55” 3D TV on 
the lecture room on 3th floor, as participating doctors from all the countries of the 
world were watching it. This made a contribution to a successful seminar.

This seminar became an arena of live education with PPT files and X-Ray shown on two 2D screens at the same time and with participants watching the 3D surgical scene.

It offered Department of Neurology, Yonsei University College of Medicine, with a good opportunity of its advanced medical services for patients and of showing the patients its security –guaranteed level in medical education.
