Korean Skull Base Society’s induction course and update were held in the auditorium on 1stbasement in Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. In this seminar, two 3D presentations were given. In the previous seminar, presentations were given using Live Surgery Eosms 55” 3D TV; this time using 150” on Silver Screen. In operational videos, the existing Carl-Zeiss SD videos took longer because of conversion into HD and calibration for 3D preview. It took longer than using Real Vision 3D, and the picture was unsatisfactory because of up – conversion from SD to HD. But it was not problematic for more than 200 viewers to watch.
In order for more than 200 viewers to watch the videos using a 3D projector, original files must support higher definitions than Full HD. Since the screen must be expanded, the original definition should offer high definition. RealVision3D supports Full HD(1080p) perfectly. Thus, it would be no problem with 3D presentation is given using a projector, and working hours only if edition is done. RealVision3D is a result of the convergence of industries where Korean medical and IT-related technologies have been grafted, expected to open a new chapter in operational education in the future. It showed a picture of its step ahead - advanced look for globalization with a will for supplying surgical education contents to the third world’s medical teams in the future.
