​[Financial News] WSI, a KOSDAQ medical device distribution company, will develop an endoscope for animal medical devices and enter the so-called "pet economy" market.

An official from WSI said on the 30th, "We have signed a strategic business agreement with 3D Medivision, a company specializing in medical edutech, to carry out projects related to pet medical care."

3D Medivision has online educational content related to veterinary medicine. It will produce and supply educational content through the vet-only 3D surgery education platform "Veterflix."

Based on the previously developed disposable epidural catheter product "KESS300," WSI plans to develop disposable epidural catheter applicable to animals.

An official from WSI said, "As a result of continuous cooperation with related institutions and researchers to enter the veterinary market, we received a positive answer that technology can be applied to the market. We will conduct various studies to expand the scope of surgery."

"Currently, most animal surgeries are open surgery methods, and endoscopy for applicable surgeries will enable surgery with relatively little bleeding and less blood transfusion," he said. "It will significantly lower exposure to rapid recovery, small scars, and infection risks."
